Thanks to my U.S. History teacher, and The Daughters of the American Revolution, I have receaived an award for "Excellence in History"
I'm pretty happy I got it, although next year I will be shooting for the Good Citizens Award.

Awards do not honour achievement, they accomplish that task by themselves.
indeed. I think it is more about completing the task than the prize itself.
But the award is a nice bonus :D
Money is a nice bonus. Medals and trophies are an ego boost. They scream "look at what I did"
I don't even show mine the two trophies are used as paper weights and I gave the medal to my nephew to play with.
yep, my medal is sitting in my bookbag; where it's been for the past month and the certificate is under a stack of college crap on my desk.
I think everyone deserves an ego boost every once in a great while though. It really helps take the edge off life.
My ego boost comes from the vast amounts of alcohol people give me as a gift.
I'm starting to wonder if everyone thinks I'm an alcoholic.
