Thanks to my U.S. History teacher, and The Daughters of the American Revolution, I have receaived an award for "Excellence in History"

I'm pretty happy I got it, although next year I will be shooting for the Good Citizens Award.

Awards do not honour achievement, they accomplish that task by themselves.

indeed. I think it is more about completing the task than the prize itself.

But the award is a nice bonus :D

Money is a nice bonus. Medals and trophies are an ego boost. They scream "look at what I did"

I don't even show mine the two trophies are used as paper weights and I gave the medal to my nephew to play with.

yep, my medal is sitting in my bookbag; where it's been for the past month and the certificate is under a stack of college crap on my desk.

I think everyone deserves an ego boost every once in a great while though. It really helps take the edge off life.

My ego boost comes from the vast amounts of alcohol people give me as a gift.

I'm starting to wonder if everyone thinks I'm an alcoholic.

lmao. I don't ;p

smell cowboy hats

yeahhhh.....

no?
